ELECTROMYOGRAPHY & NERVE CONDUCTION STUDIES
In December 2016 Regional Imaging added EMG/NCS. If your physician has ordered electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) to help evaluate and treat problems related to your nevers and muscles Regional Imaging can take care of you. The test is usually carried out when an individual is experiencing unexplained weakness of the muscles. This helps to know the true weakness that is affecting the muscles. During the test, the electrical currents/signals are translated by an EMG, which features devices called electrodes for detecting and transmittting the signals. The test also allows the strength and speed of the signals to be determined through a process called nerve conduction study.
